Dear God in heaven
You know what happened next
I cheated on my wife o then she took her things and took off
The divorce became and brawl
I had to sell the car and house
Then I got fired from the job and had to stay with friends
I got help from Jonny Walker
And together we dug my own grave
there i buried myself in
with lies deceit and drunkenness

Jesus was most certainly Jewish and also a Rabbi. A sage, a preacher, whatever. He was as real as Davinci or any Caesar. Historically the term Rabbi does not appear until about a 100 years after his death. But lots of things existed before they were named. He was most likely not fair skinned or blued eyed. Its up to the individual to believe or not believe that he was something other then a teacher.
One thing I am fairly confident in is that if he were here today at this time of year specifically, he would go absolute *&^%$ing ballistic. Not only do these followers get his birth date wrong but they change the message around completely and bring in some dude named Santa. If you think he went off his gord when he found a flea market in a synagogue, well you ain't seen nothing. The manger scene on school stages surrounded by giant candy canes and a reindeer/sleigh backdrop. These "Christians" who walk by the soup kitchen and the beggar on the street in order to pick up the 300 dollar foot gear for their 12 year old.
That is the almost surreal irony to this whole Christmas gig. Christ would look down on it the most. Its turned into a little bigger thing then a simple 9 pieces if silver.
I don't know if this thread was started to be controversial. It isn't at all. Jesus was born and died a Jew. It is not an issue and has no effect on Christianity. Regardless Merry Christma

Also for Yeshuas whole life he pointed at only God and forged a new a link in between God and man in love, severing the old laws.
He said I am the way.
He is the pathway back to God, not the destination. This is the mistake people make they rest in their faith and do nothing and use that as an excuse to do nothing but talk.
Its a historical fact that 300 years after Yeshua, Rome decides to get involved and make the religion theirs solely. They decide to omit part of the scriptures, they decide what context you are to believe in what you do.
They had full control over the finished book you now read from. They made a new set of laws placing themselves in between man and God forcing all followers to come through them, falsified Yeshuas name ,his birthdate and changing the Sabbath day, something which all other Christian churches bar one fell for and still do.Worse is they preach fear of God instead of fear of your consequences of actions or lack of action when required.
And Nsemin you just said in a pm: I have mistaken unconditional love.
Believe this, when I do serve someone and do unto him as I would have him do unto me, it is without conditions.
But in your context of belief, I do not waste the truth where it isnt welcome.
After speaking about not judging our neighbor before dealing with the sin in our own hearts (this includes more than anything self righteousness)lest we become hypocrites.
Yeshua speaks a very important principle that often gets overlooked. He says in Matthew 7:6, "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet.
You may as well re read Revelations, if you really want to know for certain what he thinks about the different churches and their actions and non actions.
Jesus was born and died a Jew, yes that's fine I have no complaints about that statement and that statement does have no effect of Christianity...but
Brockton's post said for the most part there was nothing special/different about Jesus and that he was just a man. That flies DIRECTLY in the face of Christianity and on Christmas for what purpose would Brockton post that? I'm still waiting on that answer.
lets return to the Lord's embrace:
