Some on here dont like to admit it but Fury is somewhat avoided. He is so big and can fight that he is not someone that any fighter anywhere near a title shot will want to face.

Peter Fury has said he wants Tyson to have between 4 and 6 fights this year so that says that they realise if they wait to get a decent name it could be anther year of sitting round so anyone with a recognisable name that wants a fight will get one. They were looking at Fres Oquendo early last year and he has piped up so that is the kind of opponent im thinking they will have no choice but to go with. It would be unfair for a fighter who is still progressing like Tyson to not now be gifted some kind of warm up.
Everyone understands he's not as good as he will be, but he talks so much trash, all the time, that some of the--US fans--just want someone to shut his mouth.
I know the Haye episode has him frustrated, but he should let his team make some sure fire fights for him.
Truthfully I think Haye or Thompson are not his best choices now.

Hey, wait a minute. Why not Thompson? I mean, forget Haye. Haye's nothing but a blowhard, asking for title shots he doesn't deserve, and mysteriously dropping out of "Klitschko-less" fights.

But why not Thompson? I like Thompson for both Fury AND Wilder. C'mon! How much longer are we going to wait until we expect both these big bangers to "shit or get off the pot"? I agree that Fury and Wilder shouldn't face each other yet. Assuming they both continue to develop and get a few more W's under their belts, there's a potential big-money fight to be made, with lots of fan interest.

David Price tried Thompson twice, to his credit. Unfortunately, that didn't do much for Price's career. But that just says that Price would've gotten KO'ed down the line..... if not by Thompson then by somebody else.

Thompson wants Fury..... Fury's handlers want to keep him busy..... no one else is available right now.
So what's the holdup??
