Yeah he eventually got his dough much later but, he wasn't meant to win, he was there to make Tyson look good, if he doesn't win he doesn't get the Vitali fight. He could have been smashed to bits by Tyson for a fraction of the purse he was promised. There's no big fight after that. Nice game.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
But how much money can one get from fighting a guy with 45 losses and 9 wins? Can't be more than $3 k USD.??
Sad. But, if he is fighting for his kids to remain in private school, I don't blame him... but he has to consider upping the training and be more defensive. Show up for fights to avoid getting hit rather than coming to fight.
He can fight on the outside and just plod the ring- stay out of harms way and win/lose that way. His fights would be boring as hell, but he won't get pounded to smithereens- and still win some bread.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Thing is, even other old, past it fighters would wipe the floor with this level of opponent.
There is a clear decline in Dannys ability to hold a shot. It was never the best but he now doesn't seem to even be able to Hurt anyone either.
Roy Jones has become woefully vulnerable but even he would have beaten this journeyman.
There are career journeymen who have always lost but Danny used to be a relative force. He just goes to jelly at the mere mention of a punch now. As old and frail as Holyfield, Jones and Toney are, they would stop Danny very early and not be in much danger of getting hurt.
Those fights with Tyson and Vitali have deffinitely taken a toll on his head.
