The question is, what makes Fury at this point a more legit opponent than Ruiz was in 2003 when Jones beat him?
Jones is the opponent for everyone he faces now. He's a breath away from getting knocked out. Comparably, at the same points in their careers, Ruiz is rubbish compared to Fury which is the point I wanted to make.

It wont happen. You lot are so gullible when it comes to what Fury says. I hope he reads this and laughs. Like his purse split with Haye and his retirement

Jones chose Ruiz because he was so beatable. Had it been Fury back then he wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere near heavyweight. It took a Ruiz to tempt him.

Also, the Ruiz that lost to Jones would lose to Fury of now

I'm a fan of Fury, truth be told. I think a big, goofy arrogant HW is great because at least it brings much needed interest to the HW division.

I think his act is a little transparent though. In the build-up to Haye/Fury, he let a bit of doubt slip every so often (usually when Haye was sitting next to him), using words and phrases like "if I lose", "win or lose", ect, whereas Haye never even entertained the thought of losing the fight. It's always a bad sign when guys speak that way because it means they lack confidence.

I think Haye would have tore him up, and I think Wilder, Arreola and obviously the Klitschkos would whip him as well.

Yes im sick of all the talk , let see him get in the ring and beat a puncher at top level.
There is nothing else to discuss until he actually has a fight.

Ross would have you believe that Cunningham & Johnson satisfy that criteria.
