I think this will be quite the hammering by Alvarez at this stage. If anything he has been practicing and showed he is just good enough as a patient boxer to seriously beat Angulo to the punch, often and down the middle. Kirkland outjabbed and landed half his punches on Angulo ffs.

this is such a bad PPV fight. in reality, canelo shouldnt be headlining a PPV. there is nobody he can fight now that deserves a PPV whatsoever. this is a good fight though. the thing that canelo has to be careful about is that this is the first time he is actually fighting a guy his size that can punch.

Should be an interesting fight. By itself, NOT PPV WORTHY!!! AA got stopped and even quit. Quit in a fight I believe, he was making a comeback to win against Lara. Canelo can be hit and even got hurt by an undersize welterweight. But going to need and lot more. Neither talks good english. Neither talks trash nor should they being as though they both lost their last fight.

This fight is going to need a stacked undercard in which GBP can provide. But who?

I'll tell you the truth, I don't mind this fight. Sure, Lara and Molina are more deserving on paper, but if Angulo was able to get to Lara, he should eventually be able to find Canelo. Frankly, I also think Lara and Molina are tougher match-ups for him so it makes sense to face Angulo first in a way. Don't forget he took his first L last time out. With all that said, it's not a PPV. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they've proclaimed it to be a PPV yet.

Mares v. Gonzalez has been postponed so maybe that?

I don't think it's PPV worthy but I bet if you put Mares/Gonzalez on the undercard it sells really well.

Then you take Molina hoping someone knocks Lara off in the meantime. If you get by Angulo and Molina and Lara hasn't lost you sack up and take him on. Win or lose there Canelo can still be marketed. If he wins he's a legit and proven star. If he loses you sell him as a take all comers warrior.
