Would depend on which gloves he was using. Margarito that is.

Would have been a bad fight for Maidana imo, not so much on style alone, but Margo is quite a bit bigger than he is, or anyone Maidana has fought. I don't think Chino could have hurt him with any one punch whether he hits harder than Cotto did or not(I highly doubt it). Late stoppage for Margarito in a brutal fight would be my pointless guess.

margarito was as good as soto karrass. they have the same style. plodders that are super slow but have a good punch and good chin. margo doesnt know how to use angles. and just like when maidana fought soto karrass, i think that margo has his moments but maidanas speed and power will get to him eventually. margo was and always has been highly overrated.

So Margarito is being put on that Soto Karass status now? lol

I know Maidana is the flavor of the month and all but this is getting out of hand..

Yeah that's a bit much. I never rooted for Margarito even before the wraps and don't like his style in general, but he was capable of giving anyone a hell of a fight for a few years. The guy was a huge welterweight with a massive engine who could walk through bombs, Karass is a good journeyman.

That depends. Are we talking Margarito with or without Plaster of Paris in his gloves?

As far as I'm concerned, that cheating cunt's whole career is in question.

I look at Soto Karass as a poor mans version of Margarito. Antonio had a far better chin, more strength, athleticism and punching power as well.

Maidana did great in beating Broner and he is a hell of a fighter. However, lets not get carried away and pretend he's a true welterweight who could have beaten Margarito, Cotto, Mosley of a few years ago.

Would've been a great fight. I'd back Margarito to stop him. As has been said - he's naturally bigger and IMO tougher and he's fought much stronger fighters than Maidana.
