When Canelo first started popping up on Showtime, Showtime stated they would be keeping Canelo on their regular pay channel for the monthly subscribers. Of course any Floyd fight is ppv but now they should live up to what they said. I'm sure they have plans get Danny Garcia to ppv in the near future. Showtime needs to be cautious. They need to make sure a monthly subscription is of value or will the main draw be the ability to watch a replay of a ppv fight the next week.
this is more Angulo's type as opposed to Lara, not saying he's gonna beat Alvarez but neither guy is gonna be out of their comfort zone here, Canelo is the better boxer of the two and Angulo has no speed so Alvarez will be the quicker of the two, Angulo obviously has the power advantage but he usually throws one at a time and well we need to see how his eye healed up, will it be a factor, interesting fight but IMO not PPV worthy
Canelo will make this painful for Angulo
Canelo has a huge mexican fan base so his ppv events will do just fine..
Once you are at canelo's level as far as star power is concerened, his fights arent gonna be downgraded to non-ppv just because of one loss...
I was the dumdass who payed $65 to see Canelos last fight. That was a day old terd, lets be straight. Angulo is patchwork now and on multiple comeback trails here. I have a feeling this will be a one sided blow out within 6 with a now company man understanding his role and one where Alvarez can finally play the patient bulky-boxer and effect his opponent to an end, not Trout and not Mayweather. Undercards will steal the show with Molina v Charlo and Santa Cruz v Mijares hopefully.
would anybody even put canelo in the top 10 p4p? i dont think that ive ever seen him on a list. that should tell you something about the ridiculousness of headlining him on a PPV.
