Iron maiden vs Metallica! Who's better and why?

I like Iron Maiden. They still tour around too.
I was in high school in the 80s.

Not much for hard rock any more, but I still like some Iron Maiden songs.
Was never much for Metallica.

I think this is the best Maiden song ever. Not just because i dug Blayze in Wolfsbane but because he sings this song perfectly. Bruce over-sings it. The lyrical message should be taken to heart by all.

The older I get, Maiden If I had to pick. Metallica ran cold with me after Justice for all but the first four were brilliant. Ride the Lightning a favorite. Basically once the started fronting every Grammy show I heard enough I like both bands really. With thrash, Suicidal, DRI and Slayer shit all over Metallica though.
