Brook and Mitchell will both be fighting cab drivers because they have bigger fights already lined up.
Tony Dodson retires after every fight then 6 months later pops-up in a title fight. Impressive.

3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
I agree and like watching the young up and comers come through but there is this thing called progression which is lacking in the English game. Take Brook for example, Hatton, Jones, Saldivia, Jones, Senchenko. His last 5 fights and if anything hes going backwards. This is why I think English boxers dont progress and go onto be great world champs as often as they could. Not tested enough early - mid career and then take a big jump to world level and dont last long. It probably does there wallet good but legacy wise I think its bad for them
Every single part of this post I agree with. When Brook beat McIntyre by blowing him away in a round we all sat up and took notice because at the time it was regarded as a tough test for that stage of his career and when he moved to Matchroom he'd already cleaned out the domestic scene. He goes to Matchroom and I thought we'd see massive progression but for some reason they're moving him at snail pace and it really isn't good for him long term. He isn't going backwards though, he's standing still while guys like Thurman are running past him. This happens with lots of British of British fighters, Tony Bellew is another example.
Another thing that happens with British fighters is when they win a world title they fight complete tomato cans and don't fight anyone with a pulse. Ricky Burns overachieved and the Mitchell fight was impressive but his defenses at 130lb were a joke. I don't think they're prepared for Crawford and I think they fully expect to lose the title. This happened with Nathan Cleverly too and it seems to be all part and parcel of being a Frank Warren world champion. It's a shame for Ricky that he didn't get to Matchroom sooner.
