just because you dont want to give a fighter the round doesnt mean that you shouldnt. for example, if fighter A only throws 10 punches a round and lands 2 but fighter B throws 0 punches, then fighter A obviously wins even though he hardly threw a punch. you score a round by who won not by who shouldnt have won.
It varies and both have merits. A fighter can throw one punch in the last 10 secs and score a KD and win the round. But if this punch hurts the fighter wobbles but no KD does he still win as the punches the other guy threw for the 1st 170 secs didnt hurt him. Its down to perspective a lot of the time. I think calling a fight like this is a cop out and down to being lazy when scoring the fight.
thats a different situation though. whether or not you agree with the ruling, a KD will win the fighter the round. thats just how boxing scoring is done whether or not its the best way to be done. other than the KD exception, the person who does better wins the round. you cannot score a round even just because you didnt find either fighter particularly pleasing to watch.

I don't score even rounds. Boxing scoring is subjective and it comes down to what you are looking for from the fighters. In my eyes, there is always something to like the sets the 2 fighters apart and I would only score an even round if one fighter was winning the round and suffered a point deduction for an infraction.
What I'm trying to say is, even rounds are for pussies who are afraid to get off the damn fence. Grow some balls and score the round for someone![]()
