You could argue that it's Groves that doesn't want the rematch.
Told you so, Groves holds aces at the moment, Froch continues to make a cnut of himself.

A rematch would be great as the first fight was excellent. It was a rubbish ending though. This time out I think Groves sends Froch into retirement. He is just too fast, slick, clever, smart. Froch was lucky, lucky, lucky. Lightning won't strike twice (not that there was any lightning first time out).

Not sure why Froch is a cunt, he's obviously agreed to the fight if they're in negotiations, it's just about getting the money right.

Groves is now contesting the IBF over the 15% ruling.

Groves doesn't want to commit his future to Matchroom. I think that's the issue. He wants to be #1 Super-Middle for his promoter and Hearn favours Froch. I think he's worried about getting mugged again.

Groves does seem reluctant to re-sign with Matchroom. Funny really, considering they're the pathway to Sky Sports, gave him the shot at Froch first time, and now are offering him the rematch he so greatly "desires."

But obviously he could have better deals from overseas promoters.

If you had to choose between fighting Froch for a "world" title or Brandon Gonzales/Maksim Vlasov who would you pick? Even though you'll get a fraction of the money against the no-names, you will be the favourite, and will benefit financially in the long run with the help of the shitty alphabet title. As long as you keep winning of course....

Groves is the one being a diva for this and I think he is deliberately pushing it so that Froch is forced to go elsewhere and relinquish the titles making it seem that he is avoiding Groves. Clever git.

Froch should throw the belt away and secure a fight with Chavez.

I don't like how he's acting like he has the aces here. He needs to vindicate himself and win a rematch, because history is written by the winners. Like it or not, bad stoppage or not, Carl has a TKO win over him. Bad stoppages happen in boxing. It was a tough break, but I think he really needs that vindication, or else no matter how far he goes it will always hang over his head.
