    Objectively, I can't disagree.
Make a list of pluses and minuses for both sides, and the tally is a little one-sided.

    - Martinez has a 6" reach advantage. That's huge.
    - Martinez is naturally the bigger man. Cotto's optimum weight for his body type is 147. 154 was actually pushing the envelope.
    - Martinez has faster hands than Cotto.
    - Being a southpaw, Martinez has the natural advantage.

It's an uphill battle for Cotto. But that's the way he wants it. Either way, it's two HOF'ers going at it, with much respect between the two. This will be Cotto's biggest challenge to date.

I think you know I've always been complimentary of Cottos skills, always saying he's an underrated boxing and such. But he was stout at 47, more stout at 54, he's going to be thick at 60. He's just not tall enough and long enough for that division. I'll root for him with everything I have but considering how his D lines up versus lefties, the size and speed advantages Sergio will carry if Cotto pulls it off looking to Sergios age and health seems reasonable. After all he is old and has been severely injured in each of his last 2 fights. It won't stop me from celebrating Cottos greatness but it still seems reasonable.

Was not pointing the finger at anyone specifically but rather forums in general concerning this fight. People act like this is some mismatch from hell on the one hand and then claim that if Cotto wins it just going to show how done Martinez is. I'm sorry but that's a crock of shit. Both of these guys enter with disadvantages. Both are battle worn. Both have weaknesses the other can exploit and much of that has to do with the fact that both are nowhere near their best. These guys should be celebrated for even fighting each other at this point and even if they are both cashing out....who cares? Both have doubled down paying their dues.
