Garcia isnt the only fighter to make this claim.. many fighters around LA has sparred both valero and pac and they say Pac's power isnt half of what valero's usdd to be..

I know pac's power came from speed but im just saying... he is lucky not to have fought the Venomous one cuz that would have been the end of him..

Maybe im just a lil bias cuz ive trained by his side before and chatted up with him but real recognizes real straight the fuck up.

This is a serious question and I'm not looking for an argument.
Do you think every pro fighter spars with the same intensity or that every pro spars all out every round?
I'm thinking that Valero, who might have enjoyed sparing more than the average pro, was sparing all out, whereas Manny was not.
What do you think?

Boxers spar to work on different aspects of their game and to tuneup their skills so they are not going to go all out everytime but when you spar with somebody multiple rds for weeks and months , you can easily gauge their punching power and get a feel for what they are about..

Guys who sparred valero and pacquaio can easily judge who the harder puncher is..

Not at all. I was suggesting that a fighter who actually enjoys sparring might be throwing harder punches.

Pacs also a nice guy, so perhaps when he sparring his gym partners he pulls his punches. From what I gather Valero is a prick..just saying

I think we should all agree that power comes in many forms. Pac's power is generated by speed while Valero is very heavy handed..

Valero had power that was off the charts, that much can't be denied, but I remember a guy who's technical ability had diminished and relied heavily on landing the big shot (not a great strategy to beat Pac). I remember him taking a lot of punishment from much lesser fighters who had the balls to stand up to him, like Mosquera.

Not only about the power but Valero would have switched up into his boxer-puncher mode had he faced a beast like Pac, straight up like a chameleon..

Look at all the punches he's taking there in sparring.

At the time Valero died, Manny was a WW and Valero was still at LW. How do we know Valero carries his power up to welterweight? He fought 3 times a LW, he murdered Pitalua but his last two fights were mid to later round stoppages where the opponent quit, not one-punch KO's like he was scoring at 130.

Valero was a dynamite puncher for his weight, p4p, but there's no way he could hit Pac harder than a full fledged 154lber like Margarito did.
