I had Rees winning 8-4
I had Rees winning 8-4
That was a great fight. Thought Rees was winning all the way through but whatever
The MC called Buckland "Buckle" whilst reading the scores, right? Fantastic.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Brilliant battle, fair play to the both of them. Rees looked done in for 8 rounds, every time the camera was on his corner I thought he wants out but he ploughed on.
Didn't really score it but clearly razor close and could have gone either way, just happy the scores weren't daft.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Selby looking good in there.
Munroe looked massive at super bantam now he looks small at Feather compared with Selby.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Not a fan of that stoppage and the pushing to keep him in the corner. Oh well.
Looked a premature stoppage, there's a surprise for a British ring, however, I think Munroe wanted it.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Shit stoppage, Munroe didn't need to be saved at that point. That said he was going nowhere and nothing was going to change.
Good stuff from Selby, god I hate him.

Cracking night's boxing in Wales. Had to watch it on Sky+ as I was in work till ten, but well worth the effort.
First off, I thought Dale Evans was great beating Ochieng, I had it a little wider than the scores at 76-74, but he showed that he can take and give a punch, and while I doubt he'll go further than domestic level, could have a belt or two in him.
Rees v Buckland. Who the f**k decided that this fight wasn't worth headliningMaybe its the Welshman in me, but I just had an instinct that the styles would gel and would make for a great fight. Swung back and forth, both guys looked to be one punch from being knocked out at different points of the fight. I must admit I was rooting for Rees after that hard decision against Crolla, and I think he might have been unfortunate again tonight. Nonetheless, Gary Buckland was truly superb, and delivered exactly what we expected of him, with a tough, dogged and resilient performance, and I think he won't have a tougher fight competing for the British title.
Joshua. Well. Did exactly what we all expected. No surprises.
Selby v Munroe was an interesting one, I kind of think Selby looks like the kind of guy that would hold a knife while asking for your stereo to sell so he can buy drugs. That aside, I think he fights very nicely, and while the funny calling in of Ian John Lewis to stop the fight was premature, Munroe didn't look to have anything that would cause him trouble. My one gripe is that he does what Audley used to do, which is hold out his lead arm to measure the punch, and then throw with power. It's a crap tactic and his trainers need to get him out of it. Apart from that, he's definitely going to be competitive on an European stage, and I don't think it'll be too long before he gets a shot at a version of the world title.
Excellent night's boxing, and the fact that there was one point each in between the first two fights was typical of a good night.
