I've taken the opposite road on GGG as most. Three years ago I thought he was going to be a phenomenon. Now that he's a phenomenon I think less of him. He's damn good don't get me wrong but he isn't what I thought he'd be. He still tips his punches something awful. I thought he would have outgrown that by now. If you're not particularly fast and you're not particularly busy tipping your punches is bad news. I now think his management wqs right when they said he's not ready. I'd be stunned if he landed even 15% of his punches against Ward. Best to fight a guy like Kirkland.

Decent beat down but as a massive favorite vs a "who" you really only open yourself up for scrutiny...sharp counters tend to follow. I think his methodical is catching up to him..it becomes practiced. He let this guy off more than once. He must have a challenge very soon and force a test and keep enough demand..intensity up.. to where hbo will actually see fit to air his fight. I really like him and see the skill..but you gotta keep going forward and not settle on going through the motions.

Just like Lucian Bute, GGG is getting too comfortable fighting these overmatched foes .. He doesn't know how it feels to be under adversity so as soon as he faces somebody who can hurt him back, dude might crumble...

I always thought QUillin was better and im even more convinced now.

GGG overrated man just like Lucas Mythese.... He's a glorified Arthur Abraham

OK so how come GGG breezed by Rosado when he was sick and Quillin struggled big time? How is GGGs competition worse then anyone a middleweight apart from Martinez? Stevns Mack and Rosado are as good as anyone Quillin has fought. Gary Hyde is trying to make GGG v Ndam. Ndam wont win a round against GGG. He won every round he didnt hit the deck in v Quillin. GGG fucks Quillin royally up. Would probably be Quillins last fight, if not at least his last meaningful fight. Stevens is one of the bigger punchers at Middleweight and he landed plenty against GGG. It didnt budge him.

IMO only Martinez has a chance against GGG because he has a chance of out boxing him. Quillin has little to no chance because all he will be relying on is power.

Jesse Brinkley also took Stevens power fine.

GGG is a excellent boxer, watch his footwork the way he cuts the ring off, he expends very little
energy, it's the small shuttle things he does that makes him so good.
If you want swashbuckling, GGG is not for you what he does he dismantles his opponents
with skill, and very hurtful punches.

He didnt look great last night against the level he was fighting. This is my complaint. Hes being made out to be something of a fantastic destroyer but the few times that Adamu went forward or tried throwing anything, he had Golovkin on the backfoot and caught him clean. Golovkin is strong and powerfull but I just see another Abraham that is getting by on his strength.

It would be interesting to see him in with someone equally as strong because to me it looks like he could be outworked by anyone with the balls to push him back. Felix Sturm would be interesting.

I don't understand the comparisons with GGG and Abraham and Pavlik. They fight completely different. Is it just that they are all punchers?

Can he box moving backward? Will his power translate above 160? Those are the questions I have about GGG.

At middleweight, I don't see anyone that can beat him unless Martinez looks like Martinez of old against Cotto. Agree?

Quillin is not the right style to beat him. He doesn't take a punch too well and he's not known for lateral movement. With regard to Quillin, I'm curious if Quillin is plotting a move from Golden Boy. They haven't done much to help his career. He's inactive. He hasn't fought any name opponents. He hasn't headlined a card even. I bet we'll see him leave Golden Boy in the next year and then maybe a Quillin-GGG fight (if they're still undefeated) can happen.
