with skill, and very hurtful punches.
He didnt look great last night against the level he was fighting. This is my complaint. Hes being made out to be something of a fantastic destroyer but the few times that Adamu went forward or tried throwing anything, he had Golovkin on the backfoot and caught him clean. Golovkin is strong and powerfull but I just see another Abraham that is getting by on his strength.

It would be interesting to see him in with someone equally as strong because to me it looks like he could be outworked by anyone with the balls to push him back. Felix Sturm would be interesting.

I see your point but disagree. I dont think he can be backed up as easily as you think. I dont think Adama is as strong as Stevens and Stevens couldnt move him at all. He was in such control yesterday it looked like he took his foot off the gas in places. The only trouble with GGG for me is his head movement. He can get hit easily with overhands and would like to see him slip a big better. The guy who will beat him is a guy that moves very well and can land 2 or 3 punch combos and then move (in a way like what Paulie does) but only guy I can see doing that at middleweight is Martinez

We must remember when your good, everybody picks fault,! it's the way things are GGG has
done what's asked of him he WON,! and would give Sergio a bad beating, just like Abraham
were by!, no comparison what so ever.
This guy is the top man in the division, and I can't see any one at middle weight beating him,
everybody that's faced him, has taken a beating fact.

GGG was carrying him to get the work in. Was obvious from the 4th. Adama was a good fighter, but GGG judged that he would obviously stop Adama and nothing to fear was in that fight.

If you judge the 7th, GGG knew and the ref knew that GGG was just toying with Adama- at all cost. So, the ref just decided to end it as no one knew how bad the damage was/would be if Adama was carried to an 11th or 12th round kayo/tko or brutal stoppage.

Of course, Adama was no stiff and punched back. Obviously if you hit something or someone in a fight something has a chance of being bruised- but in no way, shape or form, was GGG in any real trouble.

This was just a paid sparring session.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I think GGG was on auto pilot last night and just cruised it.

His punches dont even look that powerful but are seriously damaging and he just makes everything look so easy.

The atmoshere amongst the 900 crowd was like a wake.

Must be weird fighting in that place compared to previous venues thats he's fought in.

Id like to see him step up to Super Middleweight at some stage and see how he gets on.

Brilliant fighter all round in my book and brilliant to watch, anyone with an 89-90% KO record deserves total respect. .. that really is an incredible stat.

I don't understand the comparisons with GGG and Abraham and Pavlik. They fight completely different. Is it just that they are all punchers?

Can he box moving backward? Will his power translate above 160? Those are the questions I have about GGG.

At middleweight, I don't see anyone that can beat him unless Martinez looks like Martinez of old against Cotto. Agree?

Quillin is not the right style to beat him. He doesn't take a punch too well and he's not known for lateral movement. With regard to Quillin, I'm curious if Quillin is plotting a move from Golden Boy. They haven't done much to help his career. He's inactive. He hasn't fought any name opponents. He hasn't headlined a card even. I bet we'll see him leave Golden Boy in the next year and then maybe a Quillin-GGG fight (if they're still undefeated) can happen.

Hence the comparrions with Pavlik and Abraham.

Strong, powerfull, sensational when on the attack.

Then you have, bit one paced and looked a little lost on the few occasions he was pushed back. Just shut up shop and got caught. Didnt really try to counter. Just on the few occasions Adamu did come forward and throw punches, Golovkin let him. Very much like Abraham.

That Adamu last night wouldnt have lasted as long with Pavlik. Pavlik couldnt deal with movement but if someone did come forward he was there ready to fight with them, he didnt shut up shop like Golovkin did last night and Abraham used to.

Against anyone else other than the very top fighters, boxers like golovkin will be too strong for but those who can offer a bit of skill as well will make him look very one dimensional.

He is a good fighter but not what everyone would have you believe. If he was, Adamu wuldnt have lasted until the 7th.

At first I didn't like GGG and all the hype, I mean he was fighting Proska who I had never heard of.

He's grown on me though and he's fought better competition, namely Macklin. I believe he is very good, smart, athletic and powerful. A good chin too as evidenced by not being faced by Stevens' punches.

Boxing fans are like hipsters, they loved GGG when he was fairly unknown, but now they resent him because he has gained popularity and acclaim.

What is perfection is there such a thing,! we all pick fault remember liking or disliking a
fighter is down to individual taste,! GGG has never been pushed, but tell me WHO has
a realistic chance of beating him at middle weight.!
Boxing is a strange sport, we build them up and love tearing them down we all do it,
very much a love hate relationship.
