I was hoping to see him make a comeback but I think you are right. I always enjoyed his style but I think he's all done now.
He's from Kansas, and he's not in Kansas anymore lol
I'd say he's about done after quitting again he just doesn't have it mentally at the high levels of boxing.
He's no longer relevant. I don't think he has the heart for it.
He could have gotten up, the KO punch wasn't that big. He chose to stay on his knees and be counted out. He doesn't have the warrior's spirit, it's just not for him.
Wow, I was going to sympathize until I saw that picture of him and Andy Dick, who is just revolting.
He has no resiliency at all, it was a great punch Collazo put him down with, but as was said he wasn't out and got that same stupid grin he had on after Mayweather clocked him. He'd rather lose a fight than get hit in the face again once he's been rocked. The only guy he could fight on free TV that would create any intrigue would be Berto again, and that's only for the train wreck appeal of seeing who is in worse shape.
It was clear leading up and during the card, they really looked to be cutting ties and cashing him out. Collazo was war gaming his holes when the contract was signed. I think he retired some time ago. He needs to invest a chunk of cash and go live life. He has charisma and can fall back on it, obviously. It takes a certain resiliency and core stubborness to even 'stick around' at a respectable level and maybe its a backhanded compliment but Ortiz doesn't look to possess it. He can get out clean, now and he wouldn't give it a second thought. He should.
victor ortiz is a little wimp-ass piece of garbage masquerading as a boxer. these young pieces of trash dont have the mettle that boxers once had. he is a dramatic little queen, heart was never in it. like a young puppy bouncing about then you take away his lil' doggy chews and he is all done. all done. boo hoo. good riddance. have to admit I was glad when floyd clocked the lil' bitch.
I think he will, there won't be much interest in him from here on out![]()
Cold Heart and a Weak Mind
I have no idea what Ortiz might do, but I think he should retire. After the Berto fight I thought he had things figured out.
It was obvious after Collazo KO'ed him that Ortiz just doesn't have the heart for boxing now.
It sounds like he's invested his money into a few businesses. Probably a good time to make the transition from boxer to businessman and go enjoy his life.
At least he'll always have Facelube to fall back on.
Ortiz made enough money against floyd.. good enough to last him a lifetime with the right investments..
He's in a good place right now . For all the criticism he gets, he's one of the small percentage of boxers who has made millions..
I hope if Ortiz does retire he stays retired and does not come back a few years later broke. I think his heart and chin are not in it any more. He also looks like a man that will gain weight so hope he tries to stay fit and healthy.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
