Just to be clear, Proksa is a tried and true middleweight. His last fight was a loss against Sergio Mora at middleweight. As far as I know, he hasn't ever fought at 154. Adama was a tried and true middleweight. Macklin was a tried and true middleweight. Same with Stevens. Ishida is a now a heavyweight (no joke actually). 3/4 of Rosado's last fights have been at middleweight.

I think a passing-of-the torch fight, if that is what it is, and I'm not willing to say that until I see Sergio against Cotto, makes sense at middleweight. If GGG beats Martinez, he should then move up, unless Kid Chocolate has left Golden Boy by that time and still hasn't been beat.

But, I'm not sure why you want to see Ward-GGG so badly. Do you really think it's a great fight? I think Ward would be highly favored in that fight, at least right now. Do you disagree? The way I look at it, Ward is the second best boxer in the world by most people's standards, and GGG is still on the come up. Ward has fought Froch, Kessler, Bika etc. He clearly has more experience. Most importantly, he's naturally bigger. So, I don't see the fight as super competitive. Plus, even if we don't get the Ward-GGG fight, there will be other good fights at super middleweight at the time GGG moves up.

Plus, Ward had Dawson and Rodriguez come down in weight. Prior to that, he campaigned for Pavlik and Junior fights. I'm a fan of Ward, but facts are facts. There is no one to fight at 168 right now for him. He should have moved up already especially when the top five at 175 is pretty deep.[/QUOTE]

Excuse me I thought Proska moved down and lost, I'll take your word he stayed at middleweight and lost. He's so damn irrelevant I wasn't sure. You say he's tried and true, how many title fights has he won? We're talking about championship level so surely he's won championship fights to be tried and true, wait no, he's tried and untrue.

I think you see me as one of those people that wants to see GGG lose. I'm not. I want to see GGG in big fights. That's it. That's why I quickly reported that GGGs trainer said he'd fight Ward if it's 50/50. Because I want to see what GGG has. You think Ward beats him, you're probably right. There's even a chance Ward makes him look easy. So what though. Ward made lots of fighters look easy. It hasn't hurt them and it wouldn't hurt GGG.

But there's a chance GGGs power is special. And that Ward doesn't like that power so he hesitates and we have a fight. That's the thing here. I want to know if the guy is special.

I've said it plenty, and I'm not trying to be a hater. If he fights Geale I'm good with that. If Sergio shows to be at top form still I love that fight. I just don't want to see more useless fights waiting around when there's quality fights available.

To give a comparison I'm a Floyd fan(the boxer not the person). I think the Khan/Maidana options are crap even though I think Khan brings some interesting stylistic/talent factors. I'd like to see him fight Thurman, Manny, Lara, then GGG. I realize that's not going to happen but fan or not I want the competitive fights.

As far as GGG I WANT the same, competitive fights. Again I realize it's business so you're going to take some easier paydays but that has no effect on what I want. There seems to be a contingent of GGG fans(and I'm not saying you) that genuinely want GGG to continue the easy path. And I just don't get that.
