Mares should not immediately take a rematch, he needs to have a couple of warm up fights and regain his confidence. Price showed what can happen with immediate rematches.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Mares was being made out to be the man, but he lost JG could always punch and is a decent boxer,
and he was given very little chance of beating AM, but he did in style.
Abners bubble was burst, so he will need to rebuild he's a good fighter, and if he's as good as we think he is, it's just a bump in the road.
There was a rematch clause in the original contract. Mares said the he wanted to use the rematch clause to fight Gonzales right away. So Gonzales was obligated to fight him right away. Then Mares faked an injury which originally pushed the fight with Gonzales back by at least a month. Since then he's decided not to fight Gonzales right away but take a tune up instead. This is a waste of Gonzales time. Gonzales won the title by first round KO in August and has had to wait until this past week to hear that he's able to fight someone other than Mares. He's old and wants to capitalize on being the title holder but has been dicked around by Mares. That's how Mares has delayed his career TWICE...and that's why Mares is a GIANT GAPING VAGINA(--Just like HAYE.) Gonzales could have fought 2 or 3 times by the time Mares will be ready to fight him, but instead he's had to wait for the pussy to grow some balls.
That's if he wants to keep the title, he can easily vacate the belt and fight whoever the fuck he wants, same as Maidana against Broner
