I don't like the situation as it is extremely improbable, but if the two options were the only viable ones, I would have to limit the harm, so would likely shoot the one person. In saying that, I don't know how I would choose the person to shoot. Actually, it makes me feel bad even thinking about having to select a person to shoot. It would almost be like being a central banker with all these people at my mercy. If time were no object I would go through the people, finding out their line of work etc. Surely one of these people would be in a line of work that I consider questionable and so that person would take the bullet. I don't want to take a life, but if it is a banker or an economist, I could sleep more easily knowing that I did some good.
