Hi Lyle! No i think you are operating with very high standards. Vidoz, Ruiz and Donald are all good, not reat but solid. And he was not clearly beaten by them. Let me now give you an argument for taking valuev (Val) seriously.Originally Posted by Lyle
a) He is improving with each fight. This is something all agree with.
b) He does not have the hardest neatest punch, rather often a clubbing ugly thing. But he also has a decent jab.
Now power. Beyond doubt in some sense he has the most power of -basically any athlete.
c) His chin seems to be 100%.
d) He does not get tired and he doesnt quit.
e) He has picked up on the tall man-grab-jab-lean-push style of late VK and WK (and ol Foreman).
f) Everytime a fighter stop, EVERYTIME, fighting cute and try to bring it to Valuev; he wakes up and knocks them out. (Proof: Levin, Beck, etc.)
Conclusion: Valuev is not a much easier target than Maskaev, Lyakovich etc. I am not saying that he could beat Klitschko (man how I miss Vitaly: remember how he just kept getting more cocky? Ha; how he handled Kirk Johnson and Williams... wow. Amazing this young man waling around trying to be a politician and he could spank his little brother with his left hand.) but he is a legitimate boxer. And very much underestimated.
