I do 3 minimum when I go. I am going more regularly now, probably twice a week on average. When I was fitter, I could do 5 easier than I do the 3 now and I know that is down to the extra 2 stone im carrying.

I hate running in the flat and like the struggle to get up hills. Someruns my legs burn and I will walk when it gets to the point that O wouldnt be able to run again for a week or so if I carried on but any hills I will challenge myself not to stop until im over the brow of the hill, even if it means slowing a bit so I dont have to stop. Thats more a mental thing, so when iv done it I know I can do it and I can push myself.

When I used to do boxing training I would jog 5 miles mon-fir before training then do 1.5 run on a Saturday in around 9mins

There is no such as thing as an average miles. I'm telling you, that kind of talk is poppycock and food for the hens. Myself, I don't indulge in running but I do row and try to do a brisk 2000 metres every day. Rowing has a man with 4 limbs using each of those limbs and that is my kind of routine.

My knees are so shot that I cannot run on hard surfaces anymore. On the cross trainer I run 12 KHM in 39 minutes with ease.
