the problem with weightlifting @ a younger age is the maturity level of the trainee. Usually they're too anxious to stack on more weight, and disregard form and proper technique. This could lead to injury (especially for compound lifts such as bench press, squats and deadlifts) that can lead to stunting of development and growth.
As long as the young lifter gets into their head that proper form and technique takes precedence over all else, they're good to go![]()
