I see it being a bit of a dud on the ppv as well, so they've shot themselves in the foot. Bored of it already.
Until all the political squabbling is sorted , there's never gonna be a happy ending. His final 3 fights should be bradley , pacquiao and finally garcia if he has made the transition to welterweight. Nothing else is satisfactory .
    bollox ;d
not really. Perhaps Floyd should've fought Khan and after that give Diaz a shot because he ran Khan so close. Or maybe Molina, or even Garcia or Peterson who both beat Khan. I tell you what, perhaps Floyd should've fought the man in the hat at ringside for the Peterson fight , because he had so much influence on the outcome of that! Let's see who Khan fights next and what the outcome is shall we.

C'mon man seriously? That whole thing was shady as fuck. Some guy leaning over a judge and pointing out "mistakes" on his scorecard because the judge was supposedly ill? Between that, the point deductions (bollocks when you consider how much Peterson lead with the head), the 1st round knockdown that wasn't scored and the fact that Peterson was on something should tell you Khan was royally shafted in that fight. He doesn't deserve a Mayweather shot but there are better examples than this one to support that argument.

Another slow predictable plodder who's gonna get beaten on points in Floyds 3rd snoozefest in a row.

Khan would have given him big problems and he knows it.

This is gonna be a total.shut out like his last 2 fights, Amir would have at least made this a real fight.
Personally, I believe Maidana is going to suffer some serious damage in this fight. Odds are going to be for the UD but I'd throw a little down on a Mayweather stoppage. Khan would get caught early. He's shown a tendency to get drawn into compromising positions, and Mayweather would make him pay dearly for it. I would bet the stoppage had Mayweather fought Khan. Khan has faultered mightily against tougher competition.

How could you say the Alvarez fight was a snoozefest? Because Mayweather won? Mayweather has consistently brought it his last couple fights.
you bought the wrong brand of Ragu. Agnesi Marinara is better with phony macaroni.

    Quotes:

Floyd Mayweather: Marcos Maidana’s last performance immediately brought him to my attention. He is an extremely skilled fighter who brings knockout danger to the ring. I think this is a great fight for me and he deserves the opportunity to see if he can do what 45 others have tried to do before him – beat me.”
Marcos Maidana: I am extremely happy to be facing Floyd Mayweather because it will give me the opportunity to show the world that I am the best welterweight in the division. I just handed a great defensive fighter his first loss and I plan to do the same to Mayweather. I don’t care whether he’s the best and undefeated. I will bring some real Latino power to him on May 3rd.”

It's basically just the Brits upset that Khan isn't getting the fight. They're thinking of the best Khan we've ever seen having a chance against a guy with bad hands who doesn't punch that hard at the weight. But Khan is already on the back nine of his career and last time out went life and death with a lightweight journeyman ten years past his best.

We've heard every excuse possible from Khan over the years, the most recent being that he was so tight at the weight at 140 it was taking his strength and making him chinny. But his last fight was at 143, a weight he picked, and he was still garbage.

And people are upset he isn't allowed to fight the pound for pound number one guy at a weight he's never fought at and never had any kind of meaningful win at when he looked so bad in his last fight and hasn't done anything impressive in the ring for years?

This is a crappy fight. It doesn't do anything for Floyd or Maidana but line their pockets with our money. The outcome is predetermined and there is nothing to captivate us about it. What will the odds on this one be, 30-1 Floyd? I wonder how they'll try to sell it. Frankly, Khan wasn't a good option either, but Maidana isn't really any better. The only people happy about this match-up are Floyd and Maidana.

    Theres nothing else matey.

Bradley and pac arent an option under top rank.

Garcia is under al hayman and might happen next year.

Lara, Kirkland, Andrade, even one of the Charlos are better options at 154. Going for legacy like Cotto is an option. You are correct though that at welterweight there really isn't much there.

For everyone who thinks he should have fought Khan… why? Because Khan beat Maidana 4 years ago? Who gives a fuck what anyone did 4 years ago? Since when do you earn fights based on what you did 4 years ago?

I'll be the first to say I'm not thrilled with Mayweather/Maidana and predict Mayweather by a wide margin, but Khan has absolutely NO momentum, he's coming off a performance where he BARELY got by a subpar fighter, and HE'S NEVER FOUGHT AT 147!

Say what you want about Maidana but at least he's a legit WW coming off a big win. And I'll say the same thing I said when people were smashing Broner for (in their opinions) picking a "weak" opponent in Maidana: when the fuck did Maidana become a pushover? Maidana isn't going to lay down for anyone and he has bricks in both hands.

I agree, but with Bradley, Pac and Danny Garcia with fights booked already, who else could he have fought besides Maidana?

The only thing I'll say for Floyd is that although I thought Khan would have won more rounds against Floyd... Stopping Maidana will look a lot better than stopping Khan.

Why weren't there any light middleweight fights being lined up?
