One of the best ever at bantam; I know several guys that saw him, and Olivares and Zarate that say Ortiz was the best. As an amateur he fought Sammy Hagar's father 7 times. He is originally from Corona, California, the Home Gardens varrio. I think it has been paved over by now, though it was active and alive in the early 2000s.
