Floyd called out everyone but some seem to want to forget those times and just keep calling him chicken and bringing up a southpaw with 4-5 losses.
Come on man you know better then that. Cal never called out Jones because Cal was just starting to own the division when Roy was long gone to light heavyweight.

Leonard had issues with Benitez at a time when Wilfredo was on the road already to ruin with his partying. I think its fair to say that he would have had problems with Floyd. Leonard had problems with Benitez though not just because of his defensive wizardry but also because of his offensive ability. Thats probably the difference in the Floyd fight. Floyd is an extreme safety first fighter who would rather counter then anything else rarely taking it to the opponent. That works with the brawler/punchers of the world but I dont see it working with Ray. I dont see a ko but I do see a clear points win for Leonard.

I think this holds especially true for Floyd in the latter part of his career (safety first fighter)...especially at 147. But younger Floyd, at the lower weight classes, opened up nicely on offense (throwing combos) to go along with his tremendous defense and movement. Ray would be the favorite at 147...though i think it still would be a very good fight. I just think Floyd's absolute peak was/is not at welterweight.

Comparisons are hard to make with fighters, of different eras Floyd is a good fighter but imagine
him fighting Mike McCallum at light middle hell he would have taken a beating.
Speed SRL also Tommy Hearns, punch volume Pryor the contenders than would be good champions
    now.

Floyd is small for Welterweight...so no idea what bringing McCallum into the discussion proves. No one questions Leonard being the naturally bigger guy. If we use this kind of logic we could also argue that if Sugar Ray somehow fought Floyd at 130-135...Floyd would be the favorite.

May I remind you Floyd was light middle weight Champion so there is your comparison, you fight
at the weight, you face them logic has nothing to do with it.

You seem to still miss the point. Leonard was naturally the bigger man...yes Floyd has won at 154...but that is no where close to his best weight. Floyd was at his absolute peak at 130-140. If you want to discount the natural size advantage a great fighter like Leonard would have at 147 and above...so be it.

Floyd may well have been light middleweight champion but the fact remains that was an inflated weight for him and a very comfortable weight for SRL. Weight may very well give SRL an edge but lb for lb I cannot go past Floyd.

I still say that Zab was winning rounds and deserved a rematch after that 03 fight. And why was Floyd not DQ"d when roger mayweather entered the ring ? I'll never understand that one
