The ref was a bit shit. I blame Arum for not getting a proper ref and doing a better job with working with the judges. Clearly a Salido crowd too.

I think Lomanchenko should try for a title fight again... it was a bit of a fairy-tale for him to get a shot, so soon. A bit unfair to the guys that were toiling for so long trying to get a title shot. But sometimes the market calls for the exceptional to be done in order for the ordinary to step their game
up.
The ref was a bit shit? He was a freakin disgrace. He warned Loma for holding, took a point and never warned Salido or penalized him for his nut diving. Had he been deducted even 2 times for the 20 times he went to the junk this fight would have been a draw.

Sure the battle warn vet roughed him up and tried to make it ugly but it amounts to Loma fighting two guys instead of one. It may not have been as bad as Cortez in Mayweather/Hatton but I bet the two hacks go to the same bar and discus meddling.

Stepping away from that if you watch where Loma was and what he was doing it was clear to me that it was not just what Salido was doing but more to do with what Loma was not doing. He did the very thing that I was worried Rigo would do in the Donaire fight. Fight like it was an amateur contest and amateur scoring.
