It was the 800lb gorilla in the room if this back fired. At least it should have been. I think Arum and company assumed way too much going in. Be interesting to see. Either re start the start with step down in comp..or maybe a rematch Haven't even heard a rematch mentioned really. He's got some ama quirks to work out for sure.

Yeah, exactly.

Although, in some ways, a rematch is the worst thing he could do. This was a 'progress' thing and given that the whole space/ time continuum thing is a 'constant', nothing is ever really the same twice, so just move on either way.

He's obviously very good and could possibly afford to throw a couple of early L's in the bag but he's also got to think about keeping the promoters happy and so really, they'll have to go back to the safer route of marketing their guy with smaller wins.

Unless, he actually does insist in calling out someone like Mikey Garcia
