not sure if putting loma in another high profile fight right away is smart! too risky imo

Maybe they didn't like the job the referee did either. Loma this time.

As a huge fan of Russell I'm starting to think there is something hiding in the closet like a very suspect chin. He has been in the mandatory spot twice and refused. Its one of the reasons Loma got his shot albeit suspect. Now the belt is vacant so Russell is not a mandatory. By Wbo rules the two highest ranked fighters available will now fight for the vacant title. I'm pretty sure they must be in the top 5 or the title remains vacant. So in theory its Russell vs somebody but Loma is highly unlikely.

dont give russell a shot until he has beaten at least a C level fighter.

i think that loma should have 2 more fights this year against solid opponents and then fight for the title again in 2015.

Too risky to give Loma another shot.

People forget about thing that differ from the amateurs, things like rough housing for example, not a great deal of that in the amateur ranks.

Putting him in with experienced pros is an idiot move, he deserved his loss.

Russell is a damn pussy, he could have already been a champ and we could be enjoying his reign but instead we are still waiting.

If hes already blaming refs for a 1-1 record he might as well settle on another gold medal..

the future has caught up to Loma before fans learned how to pronounce his name. He needs a reset button, a big crossroad really. Arum kind of hoodwinked him with this microwave 'every kid gets a star' think if you ask me. Loma is skilled but he needs to look looong term or be a trivia question. Fuck Bob.

I still think the ref should be investigated and a no-contest given. The ref intentionally let the low blows reign. Poor job.

But, Loma should just wait it up for another 10 fights or so. jmo...

I was suggesting the powers that be didn't like the refereeing, not Loma.

Arum is a good judge of boxing talent, some would say better than most. He also has the advantage of meeting with these fighters in person. If he thinks he sees something in Loma that says champion now, He should give him another chance to prove it.
I don't think Loma is taking the big reputation hit here anyway, Arum is the one coming off badly in my opinion. If Loma lost to another champion in his third pro fight, I still don't think it's hurts him in the long run.
Arum believes in the kid and he has the money and power to do something about it. To me, it's very interesting as I haven't seen anything like it before in boxing.

Lomachenko's team won't make the mistake of fighting an overweight opponent again, and if they do there will be stipulations on how much weight can be gained Gradovich or Walters would be good choices of opponents

Lomachenko wins an immediate rematch with Salido
