I won't say I expected that of Cotto. I will say it worries me more than Sergio felt the need to bring this up. Stuff like this never used to bother Sergio. Sergio was a guy who was robbed several times and he just came back and made someone pay in the ring. It was after this "im a superstar" business.. and home town fights and other things started creeping in that he seemed to lose focus and not do his speaking as much in the ring. Coming back from injury and on aging legs and fighting someone with a coach that has already coached against you... this type of nonsense should be the last thing on his mind. He could be hyping himself up for the fight but he never needed this before. just sayin...

Maybe Roach is trying to get into his head... and succeeding.

There was BS leading up to the Williams Rematch. Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams to meet in rematch on Nov. 20 - ESPN Catch Weights, Money, etc. It happens in every fight in the negotiation period. Every fights going to have something. You let your promoter deal with it. ...keep your mind on your opponent, bury him and talk about this in the post fight events.

This is the first fighter that Martinez has faced that he seriously seems to dislike. Allegedly, Cotto rubbed him the wrong way (PAUSE) at some interview on Latin television in the past. Ever since then, Martinez has harbored a bad grudge against him. I wonder if it helps or hinders his performance in the ring.

There is nothing new about Cotto being a prima donna.

Is this there a contractual rematch for this fight?
