Default One of the worst decisions of all time

Barrera v Morales, first fight. barrera got that ass. but Morales fought his ass off and took punches that would kill most people. His heart and courage is immeasurable

One of the most action packed fights ever that had everything from boxing to skillful brawling with constant change of momentum. Dam I love that fuckin fight. That's how a boxing match should look like. This aint some bernard hopkins bulllshit.

I don't disagree with you grey, but I always felt that the champion got the benefit of a doubt. It was really a neck n neck battle but ultimately, Morales was the defending champion and while barrera fought his ass off, he just didn't do enough to take the belt. It wasn't convincing enough.

wasnt a bad decision at all. i had it a draw but i should have had morales winning without the bad knockdown call by the ref at the end of the fight. the 2nd fight was a worse decision than the first.

Off base, my friend. I had barrera up 3 w/o the knockdown.

even so, thats still not the worst decision of all time. maybe you should change the title of the thread to "one of the many bad decisions in boxing history."

This is the best fight I have ever seen and I was buzzing watching it live at 4am in the morning on TV. Although I am a Morales fan Barrera won that fight especially with the late knock down.

The second fight did not have the same intensity and went the wrong way again and I thought Morales won that fight but I think Barrera got the sympathy vote a bit like Lennox did against Holyfield the second time they fought. However I would not call it a robbery just a privilege to see such a great fight.

Exactly.. the first fight was vivid in the minds of the judges so they just decided to give barrera the nod in the rematch..

It's funny because the second fight was actually the most clear cut out of the 3 fights they had.

Morales clearly outboxed him and its not even debatable..

Politics were probably involved as well.. arum probably influenced them in order to set up a trilogy..

Good heavens. Barrera won the first fight by brawling, then he won the next two boxing. He was much better than Morales. Morales had a ton of heart and a sharp right hand. And a ton of machismo; he fought way above himself because he disliked barrera.

You are wrong Morales out boxed Barrera in the second fight and that was a robbery.

Barrera hardly got hit in the 2nd fight, morales looked like he'd been hit by a train but it was a disappointing fight by their standards. Barrera was just establishing he could make a fight easier on himself by boxing but he knew in the 3rd fight he'd have to show passion again.

The 1st fight was a terrible decision

It does not matter how the fighters looked like at the end. Morales out boxed him in the second fight. There was no way they were going to fight like they did in the first fight. That was brilliant.

IMO the 2nd fight was the worst decision of the 3, IMO Barrera should have gotten the 1st (obviously minus the bullshit KD), 2nd (the most technical fight of the 3) should have gone to Morales, and 3 was the most evenly matched one of the three and still a different winner every time I see the fight

I agree with those that say each of the first 2 were incorrectly awarded. Berrera should have won the first Morales should have won the second.
