I've tried to watch UFC, I just can't get excited about it. That being said, they seem to have the pulse of the young demo from a marketing standpoint. I don't knock it, just really don't care much about it

I have been to a MMA gym there boxing skills, were in a word terrible sorry striking they asked
a person from a boxing gym, to give them some pointers this guy was nothing special.
The beast of the MMA gym was handed a beating, by a mediocre boxer,! remember this guy
fought in the UFC for a World title, he had about 4 stone on the boxer.
Yes I may be harsh narrow minded and a twat but I say it as I see it, MMA is full of steroid induced
    fucking idiots.

You'd be about right Dia Bando.

At top level I believe most professional elite boxers would likely dish up there MMA counterparts even despite being limited to punching because they are so much more professional at it rather than being just decent at many things. Some of those rush in leg tackles they do I can't see them getting away with against some pro boxers and anyone who watches K1 knows that most of those fights finish n a straight right hand anyway, in kickboxing punching is still more important (and much more faggish as well!)

To be fair why would you expect an MMA fighter to compete with a top boxer at purely boxing? Boxing is just one part of their game.

I would bet my house on any half-decent MMA fighter slaughtering any great boxer everyday of the week. One man punches, the other punches, kicks, knees, elbows, smashes you to the floor and twists your arms and legs up.

I don't understand why people can't be fans of both, they are so different.

    Neither is harming the other.

Anderson being out for awhile has hurt mma.

George st pierre has left the sport for awhile and those are two of the biggest names.

No more brock lesnar and other characters but mma is still a massive sport and there seems to be so many companies out there!

I prefer boxing but like the stand up fights in mma.

    Cant we just like both?

Put the best mma guy against the best boxer and put them in a car park..no rules..the winner is the choice..and the real tough guy.

(Floyd is not the best pick for street fighting on this occasion)
