Very true...Although I would put the boxers making too much money way down on the list of problems, I'd list whats killing boxing as:

1) Lack of universal rankings and champions - this is one area the government actually could help.
2) too many sanctioning bodies - back to number 1
3) promoters not promoting fights outside that might jeopardize control - again could be fixed by fixing number 1
4) Too confusing for the casual fan - mmmm refer to number 1 again

Sadly the fans and atheletes suffer while the blatant curroption continues....I'll get off of my soapbox now...
