U know, since he is so protected and used to the bum tour and all. First opponent with a pulse might put him in a world of shock.

    Any chance?

No chance, right now his future looks golden, but as we all know anything can happen in the rain.

Bute fought exclusively at home and all that, but say what you want he beat some decent guys in excellent fashion, dudes that only get beat by tghe top guys, frochs style was all bad for him though. Berto was pushed by hbo beyond belief lots of natural ability but not much skill, didn't do horrible but when you compare it to the expectations.... Golovkin has a ton of experience and seems to seek out challenges and I think hell do well for himself but alas this is boxing and you never know, he just needs to stay away from 168, he's already small at middle

i dont think so. both berto and bute were already shown to be not so great. ggg hasnt shown anything to make him look like he will start losing once he steps up.

Shot to shit Kassim Ouma might disagree.

Think it will be more like Abraham.

From what I saw of Golovkin in his last fight he will struggle with movement and people actually punching back.

Nah its more likely Yamanaka gets stopped when he finally fights someone with a pulse. Lucky hes hiding away in that bantomweight division where there are no relevant fighters

In Yamanaka's 18th pro fight, he stepped up and schooled Vic Darchinyan..

In GGG's 18th pro fight, he faced some joe blow named mikail makarov whose a part time cashier at walmart. It took him 20 fights until he finally stepped up to kassim ouma whose heartbeat was barely beating at the time but even then, he put GGfraud through a life and death struggle..

Ironically, both yamanaka and GGfraud turned pro in 06..

I don't know if he'll be the next Berto or Bute. But after passing on Froch, Ward, and Lara but going into negotiations for Chavez Jr., in the midst of mourning his father(RIP), we can only wonder what is Golovkin really made of.

Yea that prime Darchinyan who got schooled by Moreno in his fight previous to that and then sparked the next time he stepped up. Bloody Matthew Macklin is more dangerous then that Armenian.
I guess theres a reason Yamanaka wont leave Japan. People wont even fight GGG with home advantage, do you think anyone would travel to Kazackstan to fight him

If I'm honest, of course there's a chance, but the odds are low. There's a reason Sturm paid $100k to avoid fighting him and Murray ducked him twice. I'm as big of a fan of Sergio Martinez as anyone, but his people are clearly not keen on him facing GGG either. Quillin is fighting bums on undercards. I'm not sure I see anyone at middleweight beating him, at least right now. Don't you agree? At 168, I favor Ward over him though. His fight with Junior will be fun because of the size difference.

By the way, I think Bute accomplished a lot more than Berto, but it's funny you mention Bute, given that GGG stopped him with head gear on.
