Ggg isn't fighting a helper at a construction site or a corpse for a change so let's see wsup. Its still a semi cherrypick but its a tolerable one

And btw, yes chaves does have the better resume. Jr fought the main man in Martinez while ggfake fought part time hyenna handlers like adama.

Judging by the fighters, I think ref is going to play a big role in this one. Sergios speed and style neutralized much Chavez Jr's. bullish style and speed. GGG not being as fleet-footed and fighting a generally slower pace means he will be hard pressed to Chavez at bay, especially because the swarm is Jr's only chance to win. Stay close, take the leverage off Golovkin's shots and hammer away till he crumbles.

This fight may come down to how gritty Golovkin can get because this won't be a gentleman's match and GGG's team can only do so much to lobby to make sure their fighter gets a fair shake. From the judges to the ref, they may be forced to make concessions to keep the big money fight on.

Chavez looked great in his last fight but he was fighting Vera. If Chavez has his heart, weight and training in check it may be a good fight. Something tells me Chavez will buy weight for this fight and avoid the scale on fight night.

I think GGG win a tough, interesting fight. My biggest hope is we get to see Senior cry after his son gets beat. I would love to see him knock GGG down in the ninth with thirty seconds left and GGG gets up by the seven count. When he did that to Sergio I thought his father was going to have a coronary, it was fantastic. God I love boxing

Chavez impressed with the avoiding the centerline skills when jabbing in first few rounds in his fight with Vera. GGG cuts the ring nicely, so depending on the quality of Chavez legs, it might be an interesting chasing game.

I give the fight to GGG anyway, Chavez may have some chances to win on point if say GGG gets early bad cut or other trauma. There is no way Chavez can really hurt him. Golovkin is very schooled in keeping his chin low.

This is a fight Chavez Jr. can win... lololol....

His chin, size and the lack of GGG's punch output can cause there to be a little bit of a shocker in this one.

If GGG comes to throw between 60 to 70 punches a round, there is NO WAY Chavez can muster up the courage to come in and trade...

The only question this fight will answer is just how hard Chavez's head is. He's got size and strength but Golovkin has far more skills. Chavez will have his moments but I think it'll be too much of a one-sided battering to be in the running for FOTY.

Until Chavez signs I am not believing it will happen.

Chavez isn't the one holding it up. He agreed to the 1 million a pound over penalty and I believe has already signed. There waiting on Golovkin

GGG will win which will leave him with a ton of options; Ward, Kovalev..Froch. The guys gonna be a star after this bout.

If Chavez loses the same thing will probably happen. He will get a tune up fight and then fight a name, unless he loses his tune up fight which is quite possible.

Big punchers move up and always struggle. They are generally people who can boil down in weight and have a strength advantage. McClellan, Abraham, Pavlik etc. All moved up all big punchers that had better names than Golovkin does on his record and their strength advantage wasnt what is was at middle.

If Golovkin was a novice or contender, after his last fight you would have things you would worry about when he faces genuine world class or was to move up a weight. Hes an established world champ and still looked basic. If the fight with Chavez goes ahead I think he will struggle big time. Especially at the super middle limit.

Ross the fact that you and Finito can rate someone as clueless as Fury and not see the obvious apparent quality in the work of Golovkin undermines both your arguments. It just comes across as hate or trying too hard to come across as some kind of guru as though everyone else is just jumping on a bandwagon. GGG has great ring IQ, watch his feet, look at his movement. The guy is patient, he wont be rushed, he goes go the body like someone on a chain gang breaking rocks. He has been avoided by all the other Middleweights and even though he is already small at that weight the guy is willing to move up and fight someone who will provably come in at light heavy come fight night. Styles make fights but the fact remains that Martinez did not snap Macklin like a twiglet.

Im not saying hes not a good middle weight. His advantages wont transfer up a weight. Even against Chavez jr

Just remember what a monster everyone thought Abraham was. He was one of the favourites in the super six. He's looked crap against every super middle he's fought. Its the strength difference. Its physics. Its not trying to be a guru its just a fact that those bigger fighters will be a lot stronger than him.
