Life is hard, it really is. You only have a few options to stay afloat and that is why I live a peculiar life. If you have followed the popular narrative then the odds are you are sinking and it shouldn't be like that. In my own case I realised soon after leaving university that I would have to take a different path. I simply didn't feel that I had any future and I was saddled with debts from an education that was largely useless. At that point I had had enough of the narrative and wanted out. I've never really looked back. It isn't just a story of America, but Europe too. The young Greeks of today do not deserve unemployment rates of 50%. Unchecked financialisation, globalisation, open borders, and elite tax avoidance has led to a massive strain being placed on young people who are now being phased out for robots and drones.
All of this makes me incredibly sad as it didn't need to be like this. Priorities were all wrong and the recent passing of Tony Benn really hammered home to me how few decent politicians there are remaining. It is almost as if they clone Millband and Cameron in the Blair factory.
