Sure, Canelo knew how to bang... but he tried to box... Maidana isn't coming to box, or try to think he can box... he's coming to bang and fight. Kinda like Ortiz did before he got stupid.

It's a shame that the biggest challenge Floyd has faced in the last three years was Victor Ortiz. lololol.....
ummm he took on Cotto, Guerrero, and Canelo, back to back, not a bad who's who of names, and Cotto is a WAY bigger threat than Ortiz, sad that Pacquiao took on Rios who should already had a loss to friggin Abril at 135 and who has shown time and time again that the only thing that is exceptional about him is his chin
I'm talking about fight activity. It's no secret that Cotto slowed down a bit, and when he did put on some urgency in the fight with Mayweather, he won those moments and a round or two- for what it's worth.

Guerrero isn't a big puncher. He is not a puncher at all. Canelo is a puncher, but as said Canelo committed to box rather than fight- Maidana won't be that stupid to come in with that strategy. He never has.

Ortiz has been Floyd's most active and busy fighter in the last few years.... not that he would have beaten Mayweather, but it proved to show me something as to why Mayweather ducked Manny- PUNCH OUTPUT AND PACE OF THE FIGHT. That with hand speed, Floyd can't cope.

Take a look at Floyd's fights with Judah, Mosely (early rounds), Emanuel Agustus, Castillo 1 and Ortiz. The guys that had the most success against Floyd, for what it's worth (guys that at least got punches in and either cut or scratched Mayweather) have been guys with huge punch outputs.

If Maidana commits to 60 punches and up a round, and make, at least, 20 to 30 of them power punches- hit or miss- he has a chance at winning a few rounds.
