Yeah that's true Floyd vs Rios at this stage is a total joke and I don't think Pac could beat Canelo.

I guess it's pretty even overall.

Don't get me wrong, I think FLoyd vs Pac should happen now FOR SURE. Pac deserves it now after beating Bradley. It's just lost a lot of intrigue for me. In 2009, I figured that Floyd would be able to counter-punch and move his way to a victory. I FIGURED that, but the outcome was really up in the air. Now the outcome is crystal clear to me. But fuck it, let the fight happen.

No Offense but the" Pac deserve it now" line of reasoning that you have been touting for a while is seriously flawed. If you really think boxing is only about your last fight then there is no such thing as a legacy. Pacquiao has for many years now been THE MAN in and around the weight of Floyd that for whatever reason has not shared a ring with him. He has numerous belts and fought many common opponents both before and after Floyd. He did not need to do anything in this or any other fight in the last couple of years to EARN a shot at Floyd. He already made his point quite emphatically time after time and now he is on the downward slope of a pretty spectacular arc Floyd will be the undeserving one whose own legacy will be enhanced by finally fighting someone he should have faced years ago.

6 years since you figured. 6 years and a style which takes a lot out of a fighter and yet he still had to beat Bradley so convincingly to DESERVE a fight with Floyd ?

Listen, I'm up for discussing and arguing points about boxing, even if I don't agree with someone usually I can value their input if it's coming from some basis of knowledge, but it absolutely BOGGLES MY MIND how so many people don't understand that a career has ebbs and flows and that boxing is governed by a strange concept called RANKINGS, where if you win, you move up, and if you lose you move down. I don't get what people don't understand about that. Maybe that ignorance is just a product of a corrupt, money grubbing sport that has been shovelling garbage down boxing fan's throats for years. Maybe that's why guys get title shots coming off of losses and only a few people even bat an eye.

While that may generally be the case we are talking about two superstars who have both generated huge amounts of money and have massive fan bases. Usual rules do not apply. Floyd's a dick, Arums a Dick and Manny may well be a dick but he sure as hell does not need to earn the right to fight anybody.
