James Toney is incredible and I will always love him, but he hasn't won a top fight in a long time now. It has become a little like Don Quixote and for sure I was a loyal Sancho, but I want Toney to be well and look after himself and boxing at this age isn't going to do that. If he wanted to be world champion he should have been more active a few years ago. He wasn't and couldn't do it and so it is over.

I am of the JFAT alliance for life, but boxing has been done now. No fighter wins no big fights for year after year and then walks into a big fight. You have to earn it to some degree and Toney hasn't.
