Oh gawwd lol. G man was a pretty good boxer when he first started but once he fell in love with his power, he became a headhunter who neglected skills and defense.

Roy would have owned him.

Roy never would have fought him, Roys words. The reach, speed, power, tanacity. Roy couldn't handle it with headgear, he admitted he wanted none of it professionally.

Edit-Roy was obviously a better fighter but it's a nightmare matchup. And this is who COULD beat Roy not who would beat Roy.

Saad Muhammad- er, matt franklin. I'd love to see 'RJJ' fight a guy that is hard to hurt, in't scared, and keeps punching. Marvin johnson. Dwight Muhammad Qawi. He is so so so far from unbeatable. Eddie Gregory/Mustapha Muhammad. In the 1970s he'd go 28-7.

Micheal Spinks would wreck Jones his style was all wrong for him and he was undefeated with a better resume at lhw. Had reach and size and power and chin over Jones. The only man to beat him was a Prime Mike Tyson and that was heavyweight. Micheal Spinks would win most times then not only guy i can say that would out doubt beat him. Jones was a great fighter but at lhw beside aging Hill who was just defeated and Body snatcher who was in his 40's his opponents at lhw left a lot to the imagination hell he never even fought the Lineal champ at the weight.

I love Roy, but I think he did avoid lots of heavy opposition. He was more an entertainer or stunt man in the ring, not a fighter.

Was Eric Harding the one to have given Jones the most problems prior to the downhill Very shifty slick style himself. I had him winning 4 before his arm went fubar. I do think Jones jr and his water walking unbeatable status gets more inflated as we go. The guy was hit clean coming up more than once...not dropped or killed...but there were gloves that actually touched his face. True story
