Aside from a few adjustments, this is the Mayweather we will see in future fights. He's NOT going to suddenly gain his quickness back. When has that ever happened? Look, it happens to even the best of athletes whose abilities are dictated by speed.

I'm a fan of Floyd, but it's all downhill from here on, and deep down I believe Floyd believes it too.
those combos he threw were impressive...as was his defense.

Floyd must have been going downhill against Oscar too because he faught off the ropes a lot in that fight too.

The guy can't do anything right.

If he uses the ring he's a scared safety first pot-shotting coward.....
If he gets in the trenches he's deteriorated.

Go back and watch some of his fights when he first moved to WW...you will see the same thing you saw saturday night.
Voluntarily fighting off the ropes is a good tactic at times but being forced to the ropes while taking big shots to head, arms and body and losing 4 or 5 rounds that way is a stupid way to fight.
Are you saying Floyd is a stupid fighter?
Floyd was not fighting off the ropes, he was getting his ass kicked on the ropes.
The idea of Floyd purposely laying on the the ropes in some kind of "rope a dope" scenario just pisses me off. Floyd doesn't purposely lose rounds, that's not who he is and he'll never fight that way, Floyd fights to win every round.

The guy can't do anything right.

You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to pull some "poor Floyd" shit. Floyd does everything right in the ring, and if there is a rematch, Floyd will win again.
Floyd, just like most of us, underestimated Maidana's stamina, toughness, determination and his trainer, Robert Garcia. Floyd won't make that mistake again.
That was a close, exciting fight and I want to see a rematch, real bad. I think Maidana deserves another big payday for that performance plus I want to see if Floyd has slowed as much as it looked like.

A close fight for Floyd is when he doesn't win 10 out of 12 rounds. By those standards, Floyd squeezed by.
