Halal meat is cheaper so we might be seeing alot more of it.
Alot of scare tactics are used in the media but the public should be given the option.
Pizza express is rubbish anyway..better off with a sainsburys bbq chicken pizza!

I don't eat Halal meat. No difference in the taste but it is cruel imo.
Don't believe what they say about it being more humane. They slit the throat but make sure not to cut the spinal cord as the animal must bleed out. They say it's quick and painless but studies have said otherwise.
Most Halal abattoirs in the UK now claim to stun the animal before slitting the throat, however stunning or sedating in any way is against Islamic practice (what the fuck?) so it has been shown that many use the weakest form of stun permissible which has little effect on the animal.
I'm all for tolerating different cultures but that doesn't mean tolerating the intolerable. Just as we wouldn't and shouldn't accept many other practices and traditions from other cultures.

I love eating meat, I should not eat beef but love my steak n kidney pie. Makes no difference and people should not be upset what other people eat.

I agree our abattoirs workers hate the Halal butchers and the cattle hate them too they got more time to know what coming because it isnt like the old days where a priest or kafunga or whatever they call themselves would say a prayer of thanks and bang the job is done while the animal is looking elsewhere.
Besides who wants the odd beard hair in their pies?![]()
