I don't think you fully read my post. I was young when I grew up in Boston (I still live near Boston) so that was my only experience with African Americans. I am older now and see things differently. I don't rant and rave about racism, I was just trying to make a point why some people do. To be honest, I have probably met more screwed up white people but I am white so those are my main contacts. I was saying racism exists around the world, violent racism and slavery still goes on in Africa and a few other parts of the world. There is interracial prejudice, I have seen blacks make fun of blacks with darker skin. I attempt to be tolerant of all, I am in a interracial marriage and sometimes, not often, I catch shit about it. I try to judge people on their merits, not by the color of their skin. You may not, I don't always agree with what Finito said but I understand how that mindset is developed. In the US of course we have our problems but comparatively I think we have done a decent job with civil rights. Don't jump on me, I said a pretty good job, not perfect.

PS I think I am a little racist in boxing as I would like to see more white champs, that's the first time I said that here but since I am discussing racism, I did want to endeavor into full dislosure

Thats not racism at all. I am the same way. I would rather see my countrymen win most fights. I rather see whites come out and say it because every other color does. I think whites are taught to not be proud of themselves, I don't think thats fair.

Wanting to see more 'American'..countrymen...as champs I get. Hoping for Arreola to claim a title is killing me. Something as broad but a little shallow as 'white', I don't. I agree with you. I come to this fourm to discuss boxing with other who have knowledge of the sport and love it as much as I do. Not to see someone constantly bash a race whether it be the fighter or someone in he's entourage. Finito does that on the day to day basis and whoever thinks its all in good fun is as ignorant as he is. I'm amazed the mods let it go on.

I also hate that he brings race into just about every thread as if he of superior race or mix in his case. However in his defense we are in a bloq where fighting is the principle of suggestion. I got into some brutal racial rifts with Finito and I know I said some things that were really hurtful and beyond the average sensitive black comments . At what cost , I reduced myself to racial hatred in the strife to teach him a lesson. If you do not agree with his comments fight back with words he has every right to speak his words.
