Boxers don't know how to get inside anymore

It's a byproduct of American society becoming more finesse and it has permeated through boxing and sports as a whole. Boxers don't want to get close and grind it out. 7ft basketball players want to linger around the 3pt line, NFL wide receivers don't want to block or come across the middle, etc.

Boys these days aren't being raised by construction workers and factory assembly men anymore.

I don't think the basketball analogy is fair because rule changes have all but eliminated the true big man. With the defensive 3 second rule a big man with a big body to play true post simply isn't quick enough to cover the ground. As for going across the middle or blocking I'm not sure what you speak of, receivers go across the middle on every play. And there are many great blockers in the league.

But I agree with the sentiment if not all the details.
