Yes, I think hayfever was responsible for the sneezing and don't see the connection to my eyes, but I assume they know more than me. I have had sneezing fits a lot in recent years, so that didn't trouble me. I didn't want to go to hospital, but that one eye was nasty looking and just wasn't going away. It is still quite red. I assumed it was tiredness on getting back from Japan late and swilling my Asahi cans until dawn, but several days later and it getting worse, suggests it wasn't only tiredness. The drops have made it less red, but it still looks pretty revolting with the veins red and puffy. It's a shame as my eyes are one of about 3 appealing aspects of my appearance and with one of them gone, I am down to my jackets and hands, and in truth the nails could use a clipping too.
