The preview of this thread showed me "Anthony Joshua fights Matt..." and I was hoping the Matt in question might be Skelton. As for Matt Legg, well, its not going the distance is all I'm going to say.

Looks like there are some other competitive bouts on the undercard though.

Matt Skelton is a hard/wobbly man. It's a bit much for Joshua's sixth fight. Tyson Fury still hasn't faced Skelton.

Skelton is old and got beaten easily by John McDermott. It is a perfect fight for Joshua at this stage. FFS Beanz what does KOing Legg in one or two do for Joshua?

Legg is not a great match but Joshua came to boxing late and Lewis,Bruno etc never faced any great challenges until around their 10th pro fights.

I think fighters would be better off fighting tougher fighters earlier. If Joshua stepped up now and lets say in his next 4 fights fought and beat Skelton, McDermott, Sexton and Chisora hed be well in a position to fight Fury or even go for a world title shot against anyone bar Wlad. Imagine a young Heavyweight winning a world title in his 12th or 13th fight. Would cement his place in the history books

I wonder what Josh is learning fighting these easy fights?

Learning that he can get on the beers and enjoy the night by being early on the card? I wouldn't dare suggest that to his face though. Being matched tougher would be no bad thing for the lad.

Good job your not a manager because you would ruin a fighter. They need experience in the pros meaning getting pushed by tough fighters. You could get a newly qualified carpenter to build you a house but he could get stuck under the pressure. You wouldnt do that though, youd want to see they have experience since being qualified. That they can cope with such a job.

This level opponent would be fine for Joshua if he was fighting every few weeks but hes not, its every few months. There is no graduation from Paul Butler or Dorian Darch, in fact those two probably beat Matt Leg!

Its getting to the same situation as David Price where the level of opponent was stagnating and regressing.

Again complete bull shit. Experience. Go and ask my bollow. KOing bums in one or 2 rounds does not fare well if making a move to world level. Wilders 20 or so fights will not have given him the experience to take on a guy like Wlad and after 2 rounds against him hell be wishing he faced tougher guys in his last few fights.

Your comparison between a carpenter is so retarded. So let me ask you this. Who would you prefer to build ur house? a 30 year carpenter veteran who has never built a house before just many chairs and tables etc or a 2 year pro who has build 4 houses in that time.

Ross aka the biggest retard on the planet
