    Default Re: HA!

William Burroughs - "Democracy is cancerous, and bureaus are its cancer. A bureau takes root anywhere in the state, turns malignant like the Narcotics Bureau, and grows and grows, always reproducing more of its own kind, until it chokes the host if not controlled or excised....Bureaus die when the structure of the state collapses."

What we are witnessing in the case of America is something quite terrifying and way out of control. Numerous states are now passing laws making it criminal to feed homeless people and now people with next to nothing are being told they cannot live on the land which is ultimately all anyone has to fall back on when times become unbearable. A few weeks ago the police shot dead an old man living rough in the mountains and for seemingly no reason other than him living rough. This type of scenario seems to be all too common and the state is now illegitimate. It is waging war on its own citizens from the homeless up to anyone without the wealth to buy elections of get in at the bureau trough.

Edit: Also, I really enjoyed that final video. Mr Conway seems like a really interesting man and I find people who want to be independent and free really fascinating. For me, I find my politics drawing to two extremes. On the one hand, I think the state is needed in key necessities and countries like the UK could use greater nationalisation as people are being abused financially, but on the other hand there are aspects of the state that are clearly demented such as the secret services and bailing out banking buddies. The state should only exist to be supporting the ordinary people and anything beyond that is sinister and needs to go. They are self serving departments that are not protecting the nation, but are largely protecting the elite criminals and trying to keep budgets so they can grow their cancers. That sinister aspect is where I find myself being drawn to increasingly small government and individual independence of the state. For instance, I don't think I could live under a British system of rule ever again. I don't say that bitterly, but merely because I don't think that system is legitimate. If I could see the greater good of the system, then I am drawn to that, but if it isn't being used for the greater good and is a system of oppression then you have to reject it. I am a socialist, but am not so when it's a tool to keep most poor and a few very well off and them with the tools of state alone. It's wrong and that is why I think the Queen is shameful. She hobnobs with dictators and seldom stands up for the moral point of view. Tell Blair to bugger off, tell fat Dave to bugger off to Syria. I am all for people living in the countryside on the land and yet the government can come along at any time with any one of their departments and kick you off. 'Oi bumpkin, this is Her Majesty's and fracking is our business. Feck off'. It's not legitimate and certainly not in a country like the UK which has been conned with a phony coalition or in America where elections are bought by corporations. These systems are frauds. It isn't an attack on them alone, I would expand it to many countries including China and numerous dictatorships too many to mention. These government are against their people and that means they have no basis to exist and that is why a police state is needed as they know it through and through.
