    Historically the best fighter in a division has not always been the champion. But if a fighter defeats a champion he should receive the distinction of being called champion himself.

    Alvarez vs Lara will produce the number 1 contender to Mayweather's championship.

    Hopkins has an amazing record at 175, but there was some inactivity before the Murat bout and also the fact that Stevenson obliterated Dawson, who had defeated Hopkins.
