Too tough, too resilient, too focused. And too strong, that is for sure. Woulda whipped Calzaghe.

Froch is the best British fighter and you can watch his fight against groves at WWW . PPV-HD . COM
I'm a big Carl Froch fan, But Groves was kicking his ass before the fight was stopped. Big fight for both fighters. if Groves wins I see a Ward fight soon there after. Froch would have to score a KO in order to win back support. It's going to be a big night for boxing.
i like Carl Froch, he's always in good fights and has never ducked anybody in his life. His last ten fights would compare with just about anyone's in terms of fighting the best that are out there.
He is a big, strong beast whose iron chin and durability are right up there ..... But I do think he is not technically sound and he has always struggled with boxers. He can be quite slow and when people don't stand in front of him, he can be picked off. Interestingly, I think Ward actually beat him widely on the inside (not by picking him off at long range)
Calzaghe had totally the wrong style for Carl, and in my humble opinion would have schooled him somewhat and won a wide unanimous decision in a less than thrilling fight.
Now .... I'd like to have seen a prime James Toney fight Froch, or even Marvin Hagler. I don't think Carl would have won either fight, but they would have been pretty thrilling.
For the record, I think Froch would have beaten Collins and (yes) Benn. I love Nigel Benn but styles make fights and I think he would have been far too big for the Dark Destroyer, who was actually a pretty small middleweight. I think Eubank and Froch is a brutal war ending in a split decision either way, and I think Watson out boxes Froch handily.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Hmm, questionable. Froch loses his big fights and loses a lot of rounds. Not even comparable to Calzaghe IMO.

Except Ward, Kessler, Calzaghe and Roy Jones you are probably right.![]()
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I like froch but he lost to ward and dirrell was tooo close.
He avenged kessler loss and ward could be next if he gets past groves.
JC would outbox froch BUT at least froch will fight an up and coming undefeated fighter and has ducked no one!
The Calzaghe that boxed rings around Lacy could outbox Froch, the Calzaghe that got drawn into a slugfest and robbed Robin Reid couldn't outfight Froch...
Calzaghe would've bloodied Carl worse than he did Roy jones. It would've beena massacre
Frochs chin is too good for Joe SLAPPER calsoggy
