Their first stuff was mostly garbage, bubble gum pop of it's time, but that can be said for most great artists as it takes time to come into your own artistically. It's what they did at their peak that mattered, which is incredible work.

My least favourite Beatles album is Beatles for Sale. Quickly made, too many covers, and the originals not as sprightly as they had been.
